May 27th at 7 p.m. Dr. Jordanka Tomkova, a Senior Advisor and a Member of the Board of Trustees of a Swiss based Innovabridge Foundation, will tell about e-democracy and e-government activities in Ukraine. The questions to be discussed: 1) Why have you decided to work in e-government? What or who impacted you to choose such job sphere? 2)You have experience of work in e-government in 15 countries, how do you rate Ukraine among these 15 countries regarding readiness in e-government? 3)Please, share achievements of EGAP during last year? 4)What e-democracy and e-government activities Ukraine can expect by 2018? 5)What are Ukraine’s weak and strong points in e-government? 6)How EU supports women entrepreneurship? 7)Do you know which programs can be used by Ukrainian women regarding Empowering Women entrepreneurship? About the speaker Dr. Jordanka Tomkova is a Senior Advisor and a Member of the Board of Trustees of a Swiss based Innovabridge Foundation. She holds two Masters degrees and a Doctorate in Political Science from the European University Institute in Italy with a specialization in e-participation and e-governance. Currently, she takes interest in the impact of socially responsible and sustainable IT innovations. She has worked in over 15 countries with the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation, the World Bank, International Labor Organization, European Parliament and the World Economic Forum. Jordanka has presented her research at various institutions including at the Oxford Internet Institute (OII) and has been a member of several European Union research projects on electronic civic participation, online constituency outreach by Parliamentarians, voter advice applications for EU elections and deliberative polling. Currently in Ukraine, she is the Swiss funded Advisor on E-governance and one of the implementing partners of the Swiss funded E-Governance for Accountability and Participation Program (EGAP).
