Ciklum Kharkiv is pleased to invite you to PHP Saturday with foreign speakers from Germany. The event will take place on September 3rd at 11:00 in Ciklum Kharkiv office. It is a good chance to meet with real PHP pros, learn a lot of new, get some useful tips and techniques and exchange experiences and ideas enjoying networking with pizza and beer. Strategic Domain-Driven-Design provides a set of methodologies and patterns to achieve this within a fast-paced and volatile business environment. This talk will cover the basics building blocks of strategic domain-driven-design and some of the most important fallacies and mistakes to avoid that we have learned the hard way at FlixBus. Nickolay Kofanov, Abiliton™ PRO Technical Leader, SoftServe (presentation will be conducted in Russian) - Who wants to be a millionaire?.. - your PHP application! This is a common case when a PHP-backed application has a great start-up idea inside and aims for an audience of millions of users. However, when it actually achieves the goal it just cannot bear such a lot of concurrent connections, because of the wrong architecture solutions. So how to scale it right to keep the growing millions of new users? Ievgen Kuzminov, Team Leader, MobiDev (presentation will be conducted in Russian) - "We like to hate PHP" or bittersweet lessons learned from the Ruby ecosystem?" This is not just another one "I break up with Ruby in favor of PHP" rant, but a reasoned discussion on different ecosystem aspects. A chance for PHP community to see weak sides of the nearest competitor ecosystem, to avoid the same "turn in the wrong way”.
