Alex has been involved with Ethereum from a very early stage, beginning with his involvement in helping code the C++ client. After Ethereum was funded Alex worked at ETHDEV in Berlin architecting and coding devp2p, Ethereum's underlying p2p protocol layer. Alex has been involved with many aspects of Ethereum development but made key contributions in encryption and security areas of the various communications protocols and remains active in the protocol steering group. He is currently working on protocols for hardware authentication and a secure and authenticated p2p messaging system.
