Core issues raised include: - raids on IT companies - privileges given by the state to enterprises - sales of Ukrainian startups - movement of Ukrainian companies and specialists abroad A significant number of questions, which have arisen in the industry, have been discussed at various meetings. However, the state`s attitude to those problems remains unclear. To create an impartial dialogue and clarify the situation, we invited an individual who knows the IT industry from the inside and currently is a key statesman, which allows him to connect with both spheres. Dmytro Shymkiv is an entrepreneur and innovator with 20 years of experience in the IT industry. From 2009-2014, he acted as the Head of Microsoft Ukraine and, since 2014, he has acted as the Deputy Head of Presidential Administration of Ukraine, charged with carrying out administrative, social, and economic reforms. Shymkiv will talk about the state`s vision of the Ukrainian IT industry today, potential mutual benefits from collaboration, as well as possible compromises.
