If you work with Google tools a lot, this workshop is for you. There are many ways to get data through Google products even if you don't call it “data” - Gmail, Google forms, Google Spreadsheet tables.
In this workshop School of Data fellow Nika Aleksejeva ( http://schoolofdata.org/fellowship-programme/class-of-2016/ ) will share some simple yet powerful tools that will help you in common everyday situations:
— Imagine you are organizing a party. You are asking people to confirm if they are coming via email, so you can share more details about practical arrangements. It would take much time to answer every email one-by-one. Luckily there is an easy way to set up an automatic email reply.
— After the party you want to collect photos people took during the party. You reach out to everyone, and people start sending multiple emails with attachments. It would take hours to open each email, download attachments and organize them on your computer. Luckily, you can extract and organize all attachments at once.
— Finally, the party was so cool, that everyone want to repeat it. Only thing - you need to find a new venue, so you are asking for suggestions. People are sending you addresses, but it's hard to say where exactly the places are located. Luckily, there is a simple way to geocode and pin places on a map.
These and more solutions for working with Google tools will be shared during the workshop!
