The autonomous driverless car industry keeps heating up and that’s why we are proud to bring to GTEC one of the most prominent experts in the field! Join us for our next Open Lecture with Philipp Kandal, currently Senior VP Engineering at Telenav and previously Co-Founder and CTO of Skobbler, acquired by Telenav in 2014 for $24M.
As one of the leaders of Skobbler, Philipp helped to build one of the few profitable consumer app companies within the mobility space and grow it to 4M users before exiting and becoming part of Telenav at a time when Google just had bought Waze. With Skobbler and Telenav joining forces, a solid alternative to Google Maps emerged, bringing new opportunities to leverage the huge potential of OpenStreetMap, connected cars and the IoT.
Get ready for an evening learning from Philipp’s vast expertise in location-based services, navigation, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, the Automotive Industry and more, which he explores also in his blog. Not only that, though: you can also benefit from his experience leading teams in Cluj (Romania), Berlin and Silicon Valley, as well as his take on how to make it in the German market. He’s also a mentor in the startup world everywhere he goes and has co-founded the Startup Weekend in Cluj, is Chairman of Techsylvania and co-organiser of the Wherecamp in Berlin.
This Open Lecture is also a chance to discover our new offices in Berlin within the beautiful WeWork Potsdamer Platz - join us for a fantastic evening with tons of learnings and beer on tap!
