Here’s a very special Open Lecture for you: this is your chance to meet our newly appointed GTEC Managing Director, Alexander Piutti, who is a renowned serial entrepreneur with a new focus on social businesses. Join us for an evening discussing founding several companies over the years, exits and failures, working with corporates on innovation as well as creating new ventures to crack some of society's major problems, from Berlin to the world.
In 2009, Alexander co-founded GameGenetics and scaled the company as GameGenetics’s CEO until 2015, as a leading international marketeer for online and mobile games. Most recently, he co-founded SirPlus, the outlet for rescued surplus food, given his passion for social impact entrepreneurship.
Apart from his ventures, Alexander is also a business angel, corporate advisor and prolific startup mentor with more than 15 years of senior management experience, focusing on the development and launch of Internet products. Before founding and scaling GameGenetics, Alexander was engaged in various leading internet companies, such as Head of Search Products Europe for Yahoo! and as an early employee of Overture Services, later sold to Yahoo! for $1.6 billion.
Following his MBA, Alex spent four years with Booz Allen & Hamilton (today: Strategy&), working on international assignments as a management consultant. Alex was born and raised in Germany, has lived in Asia and got his high school degree in Hong Kong. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and received his MBA from The Wharton School and MA from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
Come hear about his lessons learned, the challenges he overcame and get his expert advice. Spend the evening in the company of like-minded entrepreneurial minds at our offices in WeWork Potsdamer Platz - you won’t regret it!
