H/F Berlin (Free!) Talk #5 will be focused on Marketing and PR from 2 very experienced individuals..
Speaker #1: Antonio Hyder is Director of Research at Hackers and Founders Silicon Valley. He is a Professor of marketing with an applied research career that combines engineering, global business development and scientific marketing research. His work at H/F involves conducting scientific research that is useful to the H/F companies. He completed an International PhD in Digital/Internet Marketing and a post-doc research period at Stanford University.
Antonio will present the “Post It Party” method for evaluating how well focused are tech businesses aiming at scaling up their impact. This method is applied to all projects in H/F Silicon Valley wanting to scale quickly, obtain funding and clearly position their project in the market. He will finalize his talk discussing his current work at H/F in Mountain View conducting tech-marketing scientific research useful to tech businesses, lowering trial and error expenditure and therefore risk.
Speaker #2: Olivia Czetwertynski is the founder of Becomewide and StartupPressRoom, international PR consultancies specializing in global PR and growth strategy for startups. As an early member of the European coworking and entrepreneurship movement she was Communications Director for Spain’s largest Coworking space, utopic_US and Partnership Manager for Coworking Europe. Prior to this she worked for world-leading advertising agencies MRM Worldwide and TBWA.
Olivia will present the same 7-step process that she is using to get the right media coverage at the right time in order to boost startups' momentum. You'll leave this talk with a clear impression of whether it’s an appropriate time to add press to your communication strategy. And, if the answer is yes, you'll be equipped with the knowledge of how to carry out an international press campaign. If you’re familiar with the "bootstrapping philosophy" you'll clearly see its benefit here. If not, you’ll soon become familiar with it.
