Hackathon: Business Model Innovation in Mobility as a Service

WHAT WILL WE DO? In the Mobility Lab of Comtrade Digital Services, we are looking at the possibilities of future Urban Mobility solutions on a daily basis. The current model of private car ownership is inappropriate and unsustainable for fulfilling people's mobility needs. Congestions and pollution problems are evidence that the current mobility system is not scalable and suitable for modern and future cities. So, we asked ourselves: “How can we combat urban congestion? Why isn't our streamlined, digitally-driven, efficient, fully sustainable mobility system already a reality?” This is something we want to explore together with you in our BUSINESS HACKATHON! We will focus on the business models of the so-called Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS). It is becoming increasingly clear that the vision of a holistic mobility service ecosystem depends on the business model innovations of all stakeholders. The ecosystem needs to include new entrants next to established players like OEMs and public transit companies whilst ensuring stable revenue for all of them – and move the entire business model system to the digital level in the form of a digital API economy. There is no solution yet to achieve this desired outcome. And this is exactly the challenge we will focus on during the hackathon. WHO SHOULD ATTEND? At Comtrade Digital Services' Mobility Lab we are looking for smart and motivated people who share our passion for Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) and who want to actively drive the change in our world. We are gathering an international group of innovative »smarties« to create something big! So, if you’ve always wanted to be on the cutting edge of innovation, have some brilliant ideas about connecting different mobility stakeholders into a sustainable, digital ecosystem, and want to expand your network in the area of Mobility-as-a-Service and meet Maas thought leaders, you are exactly the person we are looking for to join the Hackathon!
