How to conduct Hour of Code?

If you are teacher in school or at any other institution, or you are just curious about how to start teaching your own kids coding, come to our FREE event on 3rd of March 9:20 - 11:00! We will be talking about how to conduct Hour of Code (HoC) event for a group of kids. HoC is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries. The goal of one-hour introduction to computer science is to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science. Agenda: - Start at 9:20 - Intro 9:30 - What is HoC and why teaching basics of programming to kids is important nowadays - Practice. We go through simple HoC tutorial ourselves - Small discussion about the experience - Guidelines and points you should know if you are organising HoC event - We get acquainted with other possibilities to learn and teach code with code.org platform For event you will need to bring laptop or tablet with you + headphones (not obligatory).
