We then looked outside of Germany to learn from foreign experiences with Ryan Little from Canada and Rodney Schwarz from the UK. This time, we would like to present you two wonderful guests that provides global impact through IT solutions as an example of a German investor investing in German social enterprise: Franziska Schaefermeyer, Investment Manager at Tengelmann Ventures, has built an impact investing strategy within the traditional VC department of Tengelmann Ventures, now called Tengelmann Social Ventures. Before joining Tengelmann Ventures, Franziska worked for several start-ups, SMEs and a leading media company with a focus on marketing. Carolin Silbernagl is CEO and co-founder at dotHIV, the red ribbon of the digital age. DotHIV supports the global fight against AIDS through the charitable Top Level Domain dot.hiv. The political scientist gained experience as an advisor and project manager of large corporate foundations at the interface between economy and social engagement. Franziska Schaefermeyer from VC Tengelmann Ventures will share her experiences in building an impact investing strategy within a classic VC environment. Carolin Silbernagel, founder of dotHIV will tell us about her experiences in the sector of IT4Change and how her search for the right investment turned out.
