Майбутнє ОДЕСИ II

ДИСКУСІЯ за участю Богдана Черкеса, Євгенії Губкіної, Олега Дроздова, Йоханнеса Кістера, Соні Бек та Саскії Ван Штайн Одеса є відомою культурною метрополією на Чорному морі. Розвиток цього портового та торгівельного міста у ХІХ столітті був позначений надзвичайною архітектурно-будівельною динамікою. Одеська філармонія, театр опери та балету, Потьомкінські сходи та Приморський бульвар – ці визначні об’єкти стали візитною карткою міста. Численні нові будівлі не найкращим чином позначилися на архітектурному ландшафті Одеси; їх доцільність необхідно критично переглянути. Щоб узгодити дизайн і розвиток міста, слід звернутися до досвіду інших міст із подібним історично-архітектурним розвитком. В рамках заходу »Майбутнє Одеси« архітектори, дизайнери та письменники обговорюватимуть питання майбутнього розвитку Одеси й поділяться власними ідеями реставрації та модернізації історичного центру міста. **************** FUTURE OF ODESSAII: PANEL DISCUSSION Odessa was long known as a cultural metropolis on the Black Sea. As a modern trading and port city, it was tremendously dynamic in its municipal planning during the 19th century. Many significant buildings such as the Philharmonic Theatre, the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, the State Literature Museum, the Potemkin Stairs, the Hotel Londonskaya, and Primorsky Boulevard are well known. Numerous newer buildings, however, have tended to warp the city’s image and demand a critical analysis. In order to harmonise the design and development of the city in the future, it is helpful to look at experiences from other cities with similar backgrounds. Within the context of the event »The Future of Odessa«, representatives from the fields of urban planning, architecture, and literature will discuss ideas for the future of the city and present their own ideas for the renewal and modernisation of the old town. Als moderne Hafen- und Handelsstadt hatte sie im 19. Jahrhundert eine enorme städtebauliche Dynamik. Viele signifikante Bauten wie die Philharmonie, das Opernhaus, das Literaturmuseum, die Potjomkinsche Treppe, das Hotel Londonskaya und den Primorsky Boulevard sind allgemein bekannt. Zahlreiche spätere Neubauten haben jedoch das Bild der Stadt eher entstellt und erfordern eine kritische Auseinandersetzung. Um die Gestaltung und Entwicklung der Stadt künftig zu harmonisieren, sind Erfahrungen aus anderen Städten mit ähnlichem Hintergrund hilfreich. Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung »Die Zukunft von Odessa« werden VertreterInnen aus den Bereichen Stadtplanung, Architektur und Literatur Ideen zur Zukunft der Stadt diskutieren und ihre Ideen zu ltstadtsanierung und Modernisierung vorlegen.
