Techcode's Weekly China Meetup

Dear Techcode Family & Friends, Next Wednesday (Feb 28th) we are excited to host a talk by Diana Rees who founded two startups in mobility field in the past (last exit in 2016). Currently, she is managing a web/app development agency and teaching classes on Entrepreneurship and Digital Economy at universities in Berlin. In 2012-2013, she lived in Beijing and consulted international firms in Production Outsourcing. In 2013, she founded a joint venture Grünberg e-Bikes together with a Chinese manufacturer in Berlin. Diana Rees speaks fluent Chinese and while In China she used to source factories and do negotiations in Chinese. In her talk, Diana Rees will tackle some of the following topics: • How to source a factory? • How to deal with the quality management? • Should I send my own production supervisor to the manufacturing partner and how should I go about it? • Manufacturer as a partner - joint ventures and other types of agreement. • Fundraising through a manufacturer? • Challenges and other unpleasant surprises - what to do if your manufacturer starts selling your products on Alibaba? What if the price is changed after the production cycle is finished? Warranty issues? As allways there will be a 20-30 minute input and then time for questions and discussion.
