TechHub Riga Meetup (Free for all to attend)

For this meetup we have several presenters and one new TechHub Riga tradition: Startup Wise Guys - Applications are open in September-October for next batch starting in January. The program focuses on early stage tech startups with awesome idea and some functional prototype. During 3-month mentorship driven program chosen startups are taken through Shape, Build and Sell cycles. The last part is finished with Investor Days in Tallinn and London. The Wise Guys team will be in Riga to tell you about the program and answer questions. TechHub Riga has a new friend and supporter for our monthly Meetups - Latvian Guarantee Agency (LGA). Krišjānis Zariņš will tell about support LGA provides to Latvian businesses for implementing business ideas and how LGA helps entrepreneurs to get new financial investment. Uldis Apsītis on Mobassurance project: from idea to first customers - lessons learned. TechHub Riga Tours program announcement. We are planning our first trips to the Nordic countries, so come to find out how you can benefit from our project with the Nordic Council of Ministers where we will fund 70% of the travel costs for the trips. TechHub Talent Pitch - we are starting a new tradition, the opportunity for startups to pitch for talent. Startups can apply to get 2 minutes to talk about their company, who they are looking for and why they should join. Those looking for startup jobs, founders looking for co-founders, all are welcome. If you want to pitch for talent, you have to apply to Zane@techhub.com and send her two pages in PDF, one summarizing your startup, the second who you are looking for. Deadline is 12 noon on Sept 13th. TechHub members have priority to pitch for talent if we have too many requests! And of course there is going to be a pitch session. So prepare your 3 minute pitches! We will have free beer as usual to soften up the networking conversations!
