TechHub Riga Meetup

TechHub Riga has a new friend and supporter for our Meetups -Latvian Guarantee Agency (LGA) Our first guest will be one of the TechHub Riga founder members, Cristobal Alonso, currently serving as CTO of the mobile operator Bite in Latvia and Lithuania. Cristobal has a history of working for startups in between stints at mobile operators, and he is also involved in both StartupSpain and Lithuania's Startup Highway as an advisor and mentor. Cristobal served as CCO and acting CEO at mmChannel, a Spanish mobile marketing and social media startup. He lived through three turbulent years of raising more than €2M in venture funding, growth from 3 to 20+ employees and global sales growth. He has plenty of scars from startup battles that have lessons for others. Mindaygas Danys from Hub Vilnius is coming to Riga and will visit TechHub to tell us more about Lithuanian startup scene and upcoming events in Lithuania - http://event.appcamp.lt/en/ and http://svc2baltics.com/ TechHub Talent Pitch - our new tradition, the opportunity for startups to pitch for talent. Startups can apply to get 2 minutes to talk about their company, who they are looking for and why they should join. Those looking for startup jobs, founders looking for co-founders, all are welcome. If you want to pitch for talent, you have to apply to zane.berzina@techhub.com and send two pages in PDF, one summarizing your startup, the second who you are looking for. Deadline is 6PM on Nov 7th. TechHub members have priority to pitch for talent if we have too many requests! And of course there is going to be a pitch session. So prepare your 3 minute pitches!
