Impact Measurement is a widely discussed topic, and especially in the social entrepreneurship realm - assessing success is fast becoming a norm. Nevertheless, there remain many questions that are still heavily disputed. Is impact measurement just a means of communiction with stakeholders or is it indeed used to constantly improve the performance of a social venture? Are there methods and standards that make a impact measurement feasible given the big challenges that come with it?
We have invited two special guests to share their insights given that they are dealing with this topic on a daily basis. They are looking forward to answering your questions and sharing their experiences in tackling the challenges of "measuring impact".
Clara Péron is the founder and director of Value for Good GmbH - a Berlin based consulting company focused on sustainable value creation across all sectors. Directly after her Bachelor's degree from McGill University in Montreal, she started her career in 2002 in the Canadian Foreign Service and spent several years living and working abroad (in particular in India, Kenya and the Ukraine). She then did a graduate degree at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government (MPP) and moved to Berlin in 2008 to discover her German roots. Until 2012 she worked as a strategy consultant for the Boston Consulting Group advising various industries at the executive level - in particular companies in the food, textile and pharmaceutical industries. She then moved over to the not-for-profit sector where until 2013 she was the associate director of a philanthropy advisory company. In her spare time she regularly coaches social entrepreneurs and serves as a board member of the Berlin Harvard alumni club.
