Unity Night @ Ciklum Odessa

Our guests from Copenhagen and Helsinki will tell you how they make one of the best game engines in the world. Agenda of the Event: Building Quality Speakers: • Agnieszka Loza / STE Team Lead, Denmark • Elvis Alistar / SDET Team Lead, Denmark • Kasper A Andersen / Toolsmiths Team Lead, Denmark ‘This talk will be about what we do to make Unity awesome - both the product and the company. Kasper & Elvis will talk about the automation teams and the tools and frameworks we use for test automation. Agnieszka will talk about our approach to manual testing, and how we involve our community in shipping a high quality product’. Unity Test Tools Speakers: • Dmitriy Mindra / SDET, Odessa • Tomek Paszek / SDET, Denmark ‘Game test automation is not a trivial task, especially when the game itself has not been designed with testability in mind. We have released Unity Test Tools to make it easier. These tools are based on our own experience and our best practices in test automation. In this talk Dmitriy & Tomek will give a brief introduction to the Unity Test Tools, and they will show how to test existing games using them’. Automated performance regression testing Speakers: • Sakari Pitkänen / SDET, Finland • Yan Drugalya / SDET, Odessa ‘In this talk Sakari & Yan will show how we have built a performance test rig that can monitor selected development and release branches and detect performance regressions. As we do day-to-day development we are not likely to notice if performance is degrading as time goes by, which is a big problem. We want to always try to make the next version of Unity perform better than the current one. We will show what kind of data we get from the rig and how it can be used to detect and analyze performance regressions’.
