ОПИСАНИЕ
If you love technology, are passionate about coding and empowering diversity in the tech world - come join us for our 3rd “Women in Tech Forum” meetup. We, at Wix Engineering, believe diversity is crucial for building a strong culture. Diversity enhances creativity, and induces better decision-making and problem-solving. Furthermore, diverse companies are known to have better work environments and ultimately produce better end-products. Our goal is to help increase women's presence in the tech fields, and enable a networking platform for knowledge & experience sharing, thus leading to the creation of a supportive community. The meetup will be held in Hebrew, and it is open to both women and men. Join us! Schedule: 18:00 - 18:30 - Gathering, drinks and food 18:30 - 19:20 - Bias Busting / Dona Raz and Smadar Bibichaiev Weisman 19:20 - 19:30 - Break 19:30 - 20:10 - Job Interviews -Tips From an Interviewer/ Hila Noga 20:10 - 20:50 - Slaying the Dragon: Understand How to Rewrite Monoliths into Microservices / Dalia Simons "Bias Busting", Dona Raz and Smadar Weisman Research shows that awareness of unconscious biases (each of us has some!) that underlie beliefs, is necessary for changing attitudes. In 2013, Google began educating its employees and leaders by creating and delivering a mandatory 'Unconscious Bias @ Work' training across the company. Smadar and Dona will share a taste of it and encourage adoption. “Job Interviews -Tips From an Interviewer”, Hila Noga You sent out a bunch of resumes and got back an invitation to an interview. OMG! The stress!!! Fret not! Diversity meetup is here for the rescue. Come and hear about mental tools and attitudes that will help you steel your mind before embarking on this perilous journey, and give you some insight into the mind of the interviewers you will meet on your way (Spoiler: it may be empty). We will laugh. We will cry. And we definitely *will* eat cookies. “Slaying the Dragon: Understand How to Rewrite Monoliths into Microservices”, Dalia Simons Do you have an old monolith you really want to rewrite, but don’t know where to start? Dalia Simons shares ideas, tips, and strategies for rewriting an important monolith service into microservices while maintaining full availability.
