Workshop: Mobile app in 1 hour

Forget 48-hour hackathons - let's build a native app in one hour on both iOS and Android! Hands-on workshop: Making magic with Fuse. On October 19 Uldis Zeidurs will introduce you to Fuse (https://www.fusetools.com/), a cross-platform development toolkit for building native applications. We will COLLABORATIVELY build an app in real-time, so you will gain a thorough understanding of Fuse, its major advantages, shortcomings, and the workshop will [very likely] leave you wondering why you didn't start using it yesterday. You will also see how Fuse solves common business challenges, including but not limited to: * Having multiple code bases for different operating systems * Having teams of multiple developers for each OS * Handling detached design and development processes * Compromising app performance while using other cross-platform development tools. The main target audience is web and mobile developers who have seen a little JavaScript, but only because they'll feel right at home with Fuse. Given the visual and result-oriented form of the workshop, it's likely to grab the interest of UI/UX designers, project managers and business owners too, provided they're willing to learn something new.
