We love to see our projects, movements and services grow. Rapid, exponential growth is vital for many initiatives to reach people and to drive impact. But it is challenging to create and sustain the success. In fact, 9 out of 10 Startup initiatives fail, many campaigns do not create reach or coversion, and many organisations struggle with innovation initiatives and often times miss the boat. Why?
Why do some projects and services take off and some collapse? Why do we often see “hockey-stick forecasts” and then enter a vicious cycle? What can be done to create the conditions for sustained growth?
The focus of this workshop seminar is to discover the dynamics of exponential growth (e.g. “word-of-mouth” promotion), gain awareness and further insights into common pitfalls, develop new perspectives and ideas on creating conditions for exponential growth and “viral marketing”
We will start with a basic example and explore more real and complex situation.
Format
This workshop seminar will include the following elements:
Short introductions and presentation of the concepts, tools and research.
Game-survey exercises
Scenario simulations of sample cases and “growth-hacks”
Discussion of 2-3 individual cases
Q&A (“growth clinic”)
Discussion of key results from the Insight survey “Got Viral?”
Duration: 1.5 – 2 hours

Speaker Profile
This seminar will be led by Thomas Wittig, CEO of WITTIGONIA, a member and supporter of ImpactHUB. Thomas experience includes 25 years in the in leadership and C-Level positions in the software service and high tech industry. As a founder, investment partner and advisor, Thomas is working with Startups, Enterprises, NGOs and Investors. His education background includes BioTech, Economics/Marketing, System Dynamics.
