ОПИСАНИЕ
On the 27th of september at 18:30 (6:30 PM) you are welcome to attend our meeting with Tomas Pajdla for coffee and data science. Minimal problems in computer vision play an important role in computing 3D structure and camera trajectory from image matches. The core of the problem lies in solving systems of polynomial equations. We will give an overview of the state of the art in minimal problem solving, explain the underlying techniques for solving algebraic equations and show how it is used in reconstructing 3D scenes from photographs. Challenges and opportunities will be discussed and applications in photogrammetry, autonomous robotics and consumer cameras will be presented.
UPD: event will take place at the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Center (Kozelnytska Street, 2A) in a Park Audience (please turn to the right after the entrance)
Language of the meeting is English.
Entrance is free after the registration: https://goo.gl/forms/d5GClq0BcdI4ASXA3
