C&DS: Modelling and Identification of Dynamic Systems

Hello everybody. This is our great surprise: on next Saturday we will have workshop in Data Science! Dr. Tetiana Bogodorova,who works at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, will share her experience and knowledges. In industrial applications the real-world systems’ properties and their behaviour are presented in a form of mathematical models. There are two main sources of this knowledge about the systems. First source relates to collected experience of the experts from the literature and laws of physics. Second source is data collected from the system itself. This workshop is dedicated to the aspects of modelling of mechanical and electrical systems using all the information available. In the process of modelling participants will be able to get acquainted with system identification procedure. Following identification cycle they will learn how to identify model of the system and validate it. Also, the tools for modelling and system identification such as Modelica language and its interface with Python will be presented and explained. So that participants will be able to try them out on small examples during the workshop. Please do not forget to bring your laptop!
