Data Science Winter School 2018

Winter is coming and to make season warmer we open Data Science Winter School registration. Apply now and get 8 days of workshops, fun, hard working, networking, new skills, new people and new experiences in January 2018. Winter School courses are Reinforcement Learning and Time Series & Forecasting. Your lecturers will be Pablo Maldonado, Ph.D applied mathematician and data scientist consultant (Czech Technical University, Prague) and Dr. Yarema Okhrin, professor of Statistics (University of Augsburg, Germany). Under their guidance You will work on bandit algorithms, model-free control, value function approximation, policy gradients, meta-learning, learning through self-play, typical patterns in time series data, forecasting using regression, ARMA modelling and so much more. Please notice that participants’ knowledge and skills level should be intermediate or higher. You have to be familiar with the linear algebra, the theory of probability, and statistics. Data Science Winter School dates: January 10 – 17, 2018. The application dates: December 1 for early birds and December 15 for the late night owls. The location: Ukrainian Catholic University, Lviv, Ukraine. Study language: English. The participants will gain 3 ECTS.
